Assisting the SVP – Global Sourcing & Strategy, this position will:

Vendor Management

• Work closely with suppliers/ factories, buying, and receiving teams to continuously evolve sourcing and QC strategies that align with business strategies to ensure the best possible performance and outcomes for our customers.
• Manage and oversee The factory compliance and certifications for all factories.
• Work closely with vendors to provide initiatives that will reduce lead times, improve performance, and optimize processes.
• You will be responsible for global Q/C Team of 7 work in countries USA, Vietnam, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, & Egypt
• 30-40% Travel Q/C, Q/A Mgr. is based in Vietnam.

Compliance & QA

• Manage & oversee Company compliance of any audit and certification requirements to ensure we meet standards and are always compliant.
• Manage and oversee the supplier compliance & development process covering vendor compliance, factory approvals and audits required by retailers and licensors, developing and executing corrective action plans from audits and maintain approvals for all current vendors. Maintain all contracts and archiving processes for vendor compliance.
• Manage and oversee the Compliance team by supervising effectiveness and productivity of staff through continual communication and performance management; respond to personnel performance issues.
• Oversee the QC process to ensure the product is meeting the standards negotiated and agreed upon within vendor contracts; document and report any discrepancies to vendors and work to correct quality issues. Work with vendors to troubleshoot quality issues in partnership with Production team.
• Identify testing requirements by customer and category for production execution and oversee the same.
• Manage all vendors compliances, sustainability Data Reporting

Sustainability

• Identify, gather, and analyze ESG data and prepare content for Company’s ESG reporting and other disclosures.
• Assess the environmental impact of products and processes and develop plans to reduce them.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet sustainability standards and promote responsible sourcing practices.
• Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure sustainability goals are integrated throughout the organization.
• Monitor and report progress of sustainability initiatives and work with teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in sustainability and advise the organization accordingly.
• Identify and communicate emerging trends and sustainability initiatives, partnering with strategic internal and external business partners.
• Be well informed about regulatory developments and reporting requirements in the various jurisdictions that Company and its vendor base operates in
• Build and present detailed project plans for sustainability initiatives; Provide analytical support, market research and metrics, supporting strategic initiatives.
• Provide recommendations to adopt new sustainability processes/procedures in alignment with our business.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in sustainability and compliance roles within the apparel industry, preferably in wholesale operations.
• Strong understanding of Compliance, ESG and quality issues and related standards and frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to measure and report sustainability metrics.
• Highly organized and result oriented.
• ESG component is critical for this position.

My Clinet is creating a Men’s Golf and lifestyle apparel brand. they are creating a product that will hang in the space with Peter Millar, Greyson, Summit Golf brands, Johnnie-O, Nike, RLX & Lululemon, etc.) it would be great. In addition to cut and sew knits, This candidate should also be strong in stretch woven bottoms as well as lightweight outerwear pieces (with and without fill).

The Technical Designer is primarily responsible for brand fit product consistency, construction, and quality as appropriate by category, keeping the customer top of mind. They must fully understand each individual style to communicate to the offshore factories enabling style execution. They must adhere to brand calendars and targets by working closely with cross functional partners. They must be able to effectively communicate design fit intent via tech packs created by them or via conference calls / video conference calls to an audience where English is their 2^nd language.  Fitting of garments (cutting / pinning / draping) and recapping those fittings is a mandatory skill. 

 PIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

1. Work closely with Technical Design Director/Manager to enhance and evolve processes and procedures, as business evolves, while driving to elevate the quality of the product.
2. Mintain approved sample and block library.
3. Maintain consistent fit across product categories.  Ensure blocks are properly established and correctly utilized.
4. Effective communication and collaboration with technical counterparts at vendor/factory and overseas team regarding all technical issues and sample corrections.
5. Understand fabrics and how specifications impact garment fit – stretch, recovery, modulus, etc.
6. Partner with design up front to interpret style concepts. 
7. Create and/or maintain technical package in PLM system (Flex PLM). Ensure technical packages are consistent with customer standards.  Update package details as needed with product evolution.

1. Create and update measurement specification in PLM.
2. Maintain and update construction pages using Adobe Illustrator.
3. Check and review graded specs for any discrepancies.
4. Review factory patterns using CAD (Tuka) software for accuracy. Advise pattern corrections as needed and collaborate with Patternmaker when necessary.
5. 3D software Browzware  (Would be helpfull to have but not a must) Lotta or V stitcher, 

1. Lead and own proto, fit and PP, size run and TOP sample fit session on mannequin and live model..

1. Prepare samples for fitting.
2. Maintain fit schedule by utilizing fit time efficiently.
3. Take photographs on fit model- front, back and side, and any details.
4. Evaluate fit and construction on samples.
5. Document fit/construction comments, upload visual images and technical sketches.

1. Collaborate with production team to understand calendar and execute accordingly.
2. Call out potential concerns up front.  Elevate issues as they occur.
3. Understand and execute efficiently and cost effectively all technical aspects. 
4. Review graded nests as needed.
5. Participate in special projects.
6. Various other duties, projects and responsibilities may fall under this role on an as needed basis.

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:    

1. 7+ years minimum related experience to working with patterns and design teams on ladies woven tops and jackets..
2. 3 years’ experience with Adobe Illustrator- this is mandatory.  Candidate must be fluent and fast with sketching.
3. Experience illustrating pattern corrections using drawing software.
4. Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Illustrator, PLM knowledge a must.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree or related education in Technical Design preferred.

Skills    

2. Ability to communicate in writing clear and concise thoughts.
3. Knowledge of production and costing.
4. Basic textiles and fabric layout (engineering) knowledge.
5. Pattern Making (Tuka preferred).
