PATTERNMAKER 1ST-PROD JACKETS GERBER PDS
A MAJOR MENSWEAR YOUNG CONTEMPOARY DESIGNER IS LOOKING FOR TAILOR MENSWEAR JACKET / PAINTS GERBER PATTERNMAKER
Responsibilities
- Create and develop digital patterns utilizing design sketches and technical details.
- Inspect finished samples to ensure pattern accuracy, make necessary pattern modifications, or advise on changes.
- Provide guidance and techniques to sewers regarding the procedures and to create the sample accurately.
- Provide feedback and suggest to sketches can be developed into a pattern.
- Create a "Cutters Must". This document must detail all necessary parts, accessories, components, (and sewing specifications required for sample production.)
- Collaborate with design team and technical design team to evaluate garment we want, ensuring appropriate fit, construction, and overall finish.
- Work closely with the design team, technical design team, and sample room team to ensure accuracy and achieve the perfect product. Minimum Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in pattern crafting
- Fundamental knowledge of men's pattern making and grading (covering all garment categories from formal to casual wear)
- Fundamental knowledge of menswear in general (design, detailing, construction specifications—ranging from formal to casual wear)
- Pattern making experience with Men’s RTW fit, garment construction, and manufacturing processes for wovens and cut & sews.
- Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and the development process.
- Skilled techniques for manual pattern (hand-drafting) creation on paper.
- Working knowledge and experience of Gerber CAD Pattern Making. Will train if you’re on another PDS.
- Able to create /make a mockup, sample, or prototype (Making a muslin)
- Translate the designer's vision into garments while ensuring functionality and wearer comfort.
- Provide recommendations regarding the fit and construction.
- Revise and modify patterns based on design feedback and fitting comments and release complete patterns to the Technical Design team for production.

- PC applications including Excel and Outlook Express.
