Description:

Operations Coordinator / Junior Bookkeeper – Sportswear Manufacturer (Midtown Manhattan)

Established sportswear manufacturer based in Midtown Manhattan, with strong distribution across major big-box retailers and off-price channels, is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team. The company maintains multiple active licensing agreements and a consistent production flow.

This is an in-office role (Monday–Friday) with long-term growth potential.

Position Overview:
This role will support the Operations Manager with day-to-day production and logistics coordination, while also assisting with basic bookkeeping functions. The position is designed to grow into a more independent role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

Enter customer orders into A2000 system
Maintain and update inventory records
Coordinate with warehouse on receiving and shipments
Create shipping orders and arrange truck pickups
Prepare packing lists and bills of lading
Review warehouse and freight invoices
Invoice customers (EDI and customer portals)
Transmit data to QuickBooks
Assist in researching and disputing retailer chargebacks

Bookkeeping (Part-Time Component):

Enter accounts into QuickBooks
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
Send statements and communicate with customers
Perform bank reconciliations
Support chargeback follow-up in coordination with operations

Qualifications:

Experience in apparel production, operations, or related field preferred
Familiarity with A2000 and/or QuickBooks is a strong plus
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and follow-up skills

Compensation:

$70,000 – $75,000, based on experience

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: Early close

Additional Details:

Must be able to work on-site in Midtown Manhattan (not a remote role)
Role reports to the Operations Manager
