- FREELANCE TECHNICAL DESIGNER – EVENINGWEAR
  
  7th Avenue, NYC
  
  A major day-to-evening dress manufacturer is looking for a freelance Technical Designer to support their Evening Technical Design Team for a 1-month assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a leading New York brand known for its modern, feminine, and detail-driven eveningwear.
  
  What You’ll Do:
  - Manage and track incoming garment samples – measuring, reviewing details, and keeping sample reports up to date.
  - Assist in fittings, ensuring accuracy in construction, measurements, and brand fit standards.
  - Support the fit approval process with the Technical Design team.
  - Create and update Tech Packs (specs, BOMs, fit comments).
  - Communicate directly with overseas vendors and factories to keep timelines and quality on track.
  - Partner cross-functionally to meet deadlines and problem-solve issues quickly.
  - Steam and prep samples as needed to support fittings.
  What We’re Looking For:
  - 2+ years of experience as an Assistant or Associate Technical Designer.
  - Solid understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, fit, and fabrications.
  - Strong skills in Excel and PDM/PLM systems; Blue Cherry experience is a plus.
  - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  - Clear communicator and a true team player.
