We are seeking an experienced Director of Sourcing & Production to lead and manage our global supply chain operations across men’s and women’s apparel, with a strong focus on heavy denim, casual sportswear, loungewear, and retail channels including big box stores and national discounters. This position is critical in driving product execution, supplier performance, and delivery efficiency from development to store.

Manages: Production Team
Collaborates With: Global Tier I & Tier II Supply Chain Partners
Overall Objectives
Work closely with Design, Sales, and Management to deliver seasonal product lines on time, at cost, and up to brand standard. Lead sourcing and factory development globally, and serve as the key link between HQ and all Tier I & Tier II suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout and develop new sourcing opportunities (Tier I & Tier II)
- Manage and expand global factory and supplier operations
- Ensure high service levels and compliance across all manufacturing partners
- Resolve production issues in collaboration with Product Development and Factory teams
- Standardize SOPs and factory documentation
- Oversee all QA/QC programs and testing of materials and finished goods
- Manage supplier audits, factory compliance, and ethical sourcing standards
- Create executive dashboards to track production KPIs
- Direct daily communications related to costing, logistics, capacity planning, and raw materials
- Coordinate factory transfers, workforce approval, and SOP alignment
- Lead infrastructure projects: equipment, tooling, setup, and validation
- Oversee Certified Factory Auditor (CFA) and third-party testing facilities
- Act as “reconnaissance scout” for factory-adjacent Tier II suppliers
- Research and implement innovative production technology and automation
- Travel internationally to build and manage supplier relationships and implement sourcing strategies
Required Experience & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- Experience:
- Apparel product development, commercialization, testing, and production
- Extensive factory sourcing, vendor negotiations, and cost engineering
- Experience with heavy denim, sportswear, and loungewear
- Experience working with big box stores, discounters, and private label retail
- Familiarity with PLM systems, QA/QC processes, and compliance documentation
- Strong knowledge of development timelines, MOQs, prototyping, and sampling
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Design, Operations, and global factories
