CONTROLLER - $120-$130K

Our company is a privately held moderate to better dress manufacturer with a corporate office in Midtown Manhattan and operations in Secaucus, NJ where this position is based. Their two companies range from traditional, special occasion, fun, contemporary, and trendy dresses. They have been established since 1985 with an annual revenue of 75 million dollars and approximately 100 employees. Their price points range from $50 to $100+. Their product is manufactured internationally and domestically. We distribute to major department stores, specialty chains, and boutiques. They have also expanded internationally to Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe.

Responsibilities include:

Monthly journal entries and closings
Ensuring financial accuracy
Continual review for efficiencies, improved processes and cost containment
Offering improvements and assisting in their implementation
Sales and financial budgeting for internal management and external lenders
Commercial rent & sales tax
Monthly bank and factor reconciliations
PPP forgiveness filing
NYS grant preparation and filing
Year-end closing and outside accountant review
Make all necessary tax payments and tax file maintenance
Support the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Production departments
Work with outside auditors and bank field examiners
Relationships with Banks, factors, and vendors
Maintain perpetual inventory files and product costing
Generate cash wire payments
Knowledge of Aims or A2000 ERPs
Apparel financial accounting experience of at least 5 years is strongly recommended
Proficient with MS OFFICE (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Reporting to the CFO and interacting with other senior management
