PLANNING ANALYST:
Our client is a leading NYC based manufacturer of Private Label and Branded Apparel. They are seeking a confident, self-independent and motivated Retail, Drop Ship, and Wholesale Planning Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Planning role will be focused on the client's Ecommerce and Store business. Are you an eager self-starter who loves using data analytics and consumer insights to help make critical decisions that drive sales through accuracy in inventory planning and replenishment programs? RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PLANNING ANALYST:
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales, inventory and replenishment reports, and other ad hoc business recaps to support the team
- Create and manage style, category, size, and other various level selling reports needed for the planning function
- Analyze store level business and inventory flow, to drive sales, improve in-stock and optimize turn
- Create Ladder plan and develope strategic unit/financial plans for the management team
- Manage the drop ship sales and optimal inventory planning
- Formulate business strategies using historical and current trend analysis
- Identify sales and profit opportunities/liabilities and make recommendations to the department
- Research and resolve issues related to purchasing orders, shipments, and sales
- Support cross functional teams with weekly reporting to support sales and inventory position
- Create advanced Access queries and macros to data-mine and analyze retail data (preferred).
- Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, best practices and to develop systems knowledge.
- Manage the elements of a monthly OTB plan and provide recommendations and actions to hit the plan
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PLANNING ANALYST
- The Planner roles will require excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability work productively in a team setting
- Self-starter and able to work independently with no supervision
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and math skills; detail-oriented
- Comfort with learning new systems, including company proprietary systems (A2000) and Shopify, as well as marketplace and drop ship platforms
